Symbiosis from Zwiesel Glas unites glass and stone in a remarkable design where nature’s contrasts meet. The handcrafted carafe is made from fine crystal glass and rests on a base of Finnish soapstone, which also serves as a natural cooler. By chilling the stone in the refrigerator or freezer before use, especially white wine is kept at the ideal temperature during serving.
The design received both the German Design Award 2025 and the Iconic Award: Innovative Interior 2024, combining the raw, archaic character of the stone with the glass’s elegant, delicate crackle surface. The interplay of materials gives the carafe a unique balance between strength and fragility.
Each carafe is produced in small series by master glassblowers in Zwiesel, while the base is hand-finished in Finland. The precise interaction between the shapes ensures that glass and stone fit perfectly together. A felt bottom protects surfaces and completes the overall look.

Delivery of chilled goods:
All chilled goods are shipped securely in insulated boxes with plenty of ice packs, so your package stays cold during transport. We guarantee that the package remains cold for up to 12 hours after arrival at the selected parcel shop. Please make sure to collect your package promptly. If the package is collected later than 12 hours after arrival, the right to make a complaint is void.
Shipping of frozen goods to private customers:
All frozen goods shipped to private customers are sent to thaw in the insulated box. Please order your items according to when you need them. You can always choose your preferred delivery date at checkout.
If you do NOT wish to receive your frozen goods thawed, you can purchase frozen shipping here. Please note that we only guarantee that your goods remain frozen for up to 12 hours after delivery to the parcel shop. Therefore, make sure to collect your package promptly.
