About the book

The Turkish Cookbook is the most comprehensive work on Turkish food culture, written by the renowned chef Musa Daĝdeviren, known from the Netflix series Chef’s Table. With 550 authentic recipes, the book presents the full spectrum of Turkey’s cuisine – from simple everyday dishes to iconic classics.
Turkish food is characterized by its fresh ingredients, intense aromas, and balance between Europe and Asia. The book unfolds this culinary heritage through dishes that range from region to region and showcase the cultural and geographical diversity that defines the country.
Language: English
The recipes include, among other things:
  • Grilled dishes and kebabs in many variations
  • Homemade meze, dips, pilaf, and stews
  • Salads, bread, and aromatic soups
  • Desserts such as tahini halva and baklava
The book conveys the depth and complexity of Turkish culinary tradition through a structured approach, where both well-known and lesser-known dishes are given space. Each recipe is accompanied by descriptions of origin and preparation methods, making the work both practical and educational.
The Turkish Cookbook is richly illustrated and serves as both a practical handbook and a cultural journey through Turkey’s gastronomic landscape – from the Anatolian highlands to the bustling markets of the Bosphorus.
