Cielo – Coupe Plate, Medium
Medium-sized coupe plate from Hering Berlin’s Cielo collection. The rim is made in Bisque, unglazed porcelain, hand-polished and perforated for a unique and decorative expression. The glazed surface creates a functional contrast, making the plate suitable for many types of servings.

Cielo
Cielo is based on the contrast between glossy and matte, perforated surfaces. The decoration appears as a finely openworked pattern in Bisque, unglazed porcelain, which both highlights and complements glazed areas. The design was developed in 1992, when Stefanie Hering experimented with hand-drilled elements to test how much material could be removed from the clay without loss of shape – right to the limits of what is possible.
Cielo is one of their most demanding decorations. Each hole is drilled individually in the leather-hard, unfired porcelain, after which the edges are adjusted with a sharp stainless-steel blade and smoothed with a fine sponge. After high firing at up to 1400 °C, the surface is manually polished with a diamond-coated tool.
As part of their Bisque, unglazed porcelain collections, Cielo is robust, hard-wearing, and easy to maintain. Signs of use, such as cutlery marks, can easily be polished away. The series is therefore suitable both for private use and for professional use in the restaurant industry.
The decoration’s unique character and the pronounced interplay of light and shadow make Cielo a proven highlight. The series can be combined with Velvet and Pulse or used as a complete tableware set as well as standalone accessories together with their decorations and glazes.

Delivery of chilled goods:
All chilled goods are shipped securely in insulated boxes with plenty of ice packs, so your package stays cold during transport. We guarantee that the package remains cold for up to 12 hours after arrival at the selected parcel shop. Please make sure to collect your package promptly. If the package is collected later than 12 hours after arrival, the right to make a complaint is void.
Shipping of frozen goods to private customers:
All frozen goods shipped to private customers are sent to thaw in the insulated box. Please order your items according to when you need them. You can always choose your preferred delivery date at checkout.
If you do NOT wish to receive your frozen goods thawed, you can purchase frozen shipping here. Please note that we only guarantee that your goods remain frozen for up to 12 hours after delivery to the parcel shop. Therefore, make sure to collect your package promptly.
