Steak Diane Sauce is a classic, creamy sauce based on cream, mushrooms and beef stock, rounded off with mustard, herbs and cognac. The flavour is rich and balanced, with depth from mushrooms and a light acidity from mustard and Worcestershire sauce.

The sauce has a rounded and smooth texture with a clear body. The combination of cream and stock provides a stable base, while cognac adds warmth and complexity.

Use:
Suitable for beef, steak and classic meat dishes. Use as a finished sauce when serving.
Ingredients:
Whipping cream (30%) (MILK), mushrooms (20%), beef stock (water, beef bones, chicken bones, veal feet, onions, carrots, garlic, tomato purée, thyme, black peppercorns, bay leaves), cognac (10%), onion, lemon juice, parsley, corn starch, coarse-grain mustard (water, MUSTARD SEEDS, white wine vinegar (SULPHITES), honey, salt, mustard husk, garlic, herbs, spices), Worcestershire sauce (malt vinegar (BARLEY), vinegar, molasses, sugar, salt, FISH (anchovy), tamarind extract, onion, garlic, spices, flavouring), garlic purée (garlic, citric acid), butter (MILK), salt, white pepper.
Preparation:
  • Hob (3–4 min):
    • Empty the contents into a saucepan. Heat over moderate heat for approx. 4–5 minutes, stirring. Heat until piping hot. Serve immediately.
  • Microwave (3 min):
    • Pour the contents into a microwave-safe container and cover loosely. Cook on high power for 3 minutes, stirring halfway through. Make sure the sauce is piping hot. Serve immediately.
CAUTION!
Be careful when handling hot liquids from the microwave.
Storage:

Chilled: Store at max. 5 °C. Use within 3 days
Frozen: At -18 °C for up to 12 months. Use within 3 days after defrosting

If you place your order before 12:00 noon, Monday–Thursday, we will dispatch your order the same day.

Delivery of chilled goods:

All chilled goods are shipped securely in insulated boxes with plenty of ice packs, so your package stays cold during transport. We guarantee that the package remains cold for up to 12 hours after arrival at the selected parcel shop. Please make sure to collect your package promptly. If the package is collected later than 12 hours after arrival, the right to make a complaint is void.

Shipping of frozen goods to private customers:

All frozen goods shipped to private customers are sent to thaw in the insulated box. Please order your items according to when you need them. You can always choose your preferred delivery date at checkout.

If you do NOT wish to receive your frozen goods thawed, you can purchase frozen shipping here. Please note that we only guarantee that your goods remain frozen for up to 12 hours after delivery to the parcel shop. Therefore, make sure to collect your package promptly.
