Can Bech is the result of several generations of passion for fruit and processing. As early as 1780, the Bech family began rebuilding the old farmhouse in Fontanilles, Empordà, where the foundation for the company’s journey was laid.
In 1971, the first apples were grown and sold from their own orchards, and in 1981 the family opened the restaurant Can Bech in the heart of Costa Brava, Spain. Two years later, production of the first fig jams in small jars began – a success that quickly grew and made it possible to supply hotels and restaurants throughout Spain.
Today, they build on this foundation with a wide range of fruit-based specialities for professionals. Their goal remains the same: to create products with authentic flavour and high quality, straight from nature to the kitchen.
