Ati Manel – the story behind it
The company is named after the great-grandfather Ati Manel, who spent his entire life running his canning business. The Portuguese canning industry faced major challenges during the First World War and was halved in the 1930s, but during the Second World War demand rose again and the company became very busy.
After Ati Manel’s death, a collection of recipes, notes, printing plates, and marketing materials was found. This was later organized and formed the basis for a redesign that preserved both the spirit and the visual expression of that time.
Today, Ati Manel continues the tradition of preserved foods, where history, craftsmanship, and flavor go hand in hand.

All frozen goods shipped to private customers are sent to thaw in the insulated box. Please order your items according to when you need them. You can always choose your preferred delivery date at checkout.
If you do NOT wish to receive your frozen goods thawed, you can purchase frozen shipping here. Please note that we only guarantee that your goods remain frozen for up to 12 hours after delivery to the parcel shop. Therefore, make sure to collect your package promptly.
