2019 Chablis Grand Cru, Vaudesirs, Domaine Long Dépaquit

94,96

In stock
Bouquet
The scent welcomes you with citrus and a delicate aroma of lily of the valley and chamomile.
Taste
Very pleasant acidity, with typical Chablis notes such as flint and lemon.
In 1831, Maison Albert Bichot was founded.
The coat of arms that adorns the label dates from 1350 and depicts a doe (Biche – French).
The company started out as a wine merchant and was gradually expanded, first through the acquisition of vineyards and later also through the production of its own wines from these plots.
Today, teams of wine people are located where the grapes originate, and the wines are also vinified there – whether in Chablis, Côte de Beaune or Côte de Nuits. The reason for this is that the current director, Albéric, believes the wines become better by avoiding too much transport.
One of the newest things on the drawing board is to make the vineyards organic; however, this is a process that takes time.
Maison Albert Bichot owns 6 estates from north to south in Burgundy and today produces 149 different wines, ranging from Monopole Grand Cru to AOC Bourgogne.
The exact place where the grapes come from in Grand Cru Vaudésirs is – Endroit des Vaudésirs. Here there is a guarantee of an optimal amount of sunshine. The more than 40-year-old vines grow on south-facing slopes, where the soil contains the highest concentration of Kimmeridgian clay in all of Chablis.
All grapes are hand-harvested.

25% of the wine is aged in oak barrels and 75% in steel for 10 months. After this, the wine settles in steel tanks with a little “sur lie” for 6 months.
