JOSE GOURMET is a family-owned company from Portugal specializing in sustainable fish preserves. The company works closely with small, local fishermen and carefully selects fish from the waters around Portugal. The result is products with high flavour quality, transparency in origin and respect for both the raw material and the producer.
The name and the vision behind it
The name José has Hebrew roots and means “the one who adds”. It reflects the company’s goal: to create added value – both material and immaterial – between production and consumption. JOSE GOURMET aims to increase awareness of what quality ingredients and honest production mean for the food experience. The name is also a tribute to the many José’s, known and unknown, who have played a role in both culture and everyday life – a name that is deeply Portuguese and at the same time universal.

Illustrations, art and graphic design are actively used to communicate the company’s values and create a connection between product and consumer.
