Binchotan white charcoal

From 80,54

From 80,54
The charcoal is made from hardwood and carbonized at temperatures up to approx. 1200 °C over a long period. This process produces charcoal with a very high carbon content and a dense structure, ensuring even and long-lasting heat.

Binchotan burns slowly and evenly at lower temperatures compared to traditional charcoal. This makes it especially suitable for ingredients that require precise heat and longer cooking.
Properties:
No flame formation – glows steadily without open fire
High carbon content (+90%) – produces a characteristic metallic ring
Constant heat – even and long-lasting heat output
Whitish surface – hallmark of properly made binchotan
Use:
Grilling meat, fish, and vegetables
Japanese yakitori and robata style
Controlled heat for both professional and private use
If the charcoal sparks:
Cause: Moisture absorbed during transport or storage
Storage: Must be kept completely dry – avoid damp rooms such as a basement or shed

Solution: Dry in an oven at 75–80 °C for approx. 1 hour (preferably with moisture extraction)
