This luxurious Umeshu is made from green ume plums, cane sugar, and grain spirit, giving it a natural sweetness and full-bodied structure.
The aging develops the wine from fresh fruitiness into deep, caramelized notes with nuances of honey, nuts, and dried fruit. The rich aroma resembles a blend of mature sherry and cognac, but with a distinctly Japanese character and a fresh tartness from the ume plum.
