Onion Gravy is a rich and well-rounded sauce based on reduced beef and chicken stock combined with a high proportion of onions and redcurrant jelly. The flavour is balanced with sweetness, acidity and depth, resulting in a classic and versatile onion sauce.
The texture is smooth with a distinct body, and the caramelised onions add both sweetness and structure. The sauce is developed to work straight away without further reduction.

Use:
Suitable for beef, sausages, potatoes and classic dishes where a robust onion sauce is desired.
Ingredients:
Beef stock (water, beef bones, chicken bones, veal feet, onions, carrots, garlic, tomato purée, thyme, black peppercorns, bay leaves), chicken stock (water, chicken bones, onions, carrots, garlic, tomato purée, thyme, black peppercorns, bay leaves), onions (24%), corn starch, sunflower oil, salt, redcurrant jelly (redcurrant juice, sugar, pectin, sodium citrate), crushed black pepper.
Preparation:
- Saucepan (3–4 min):
- Pour the contents into a saucepan. Heat over moderate heat for approx. 3–4 minutes, stirring. Serve immediately.
- Microwave (3 min):
- Pour the contents into a microwave-safe container and cover loosely. Cook on high power for 3 minutes, stirring halfway. Serve immediately.
CAUTION!
Be careful when handling hot liquids from the microwave.
Storage:
Chilled: Store at max. 5 °C. Use within 3 days
Frozen: At -18 °C for up to 12 months. Use within 3 days after defrosting

Delivery of chilled goods:
All chilled goods are shipped securely in insulated boxes with plenty of ice packs, so your package stays cold during transport. We guarantee that the package remains cold for up to 12 hours after arrival at the selected parcel shop. Please make sure to collect your package promptly. If the package is collected later than 12 hours after arrival, the right to make a complaint is void.
Shipping of frozen goods to private customers:
All frozen goods shipped to private customers are sent to thaw in the insulated box. Please order your items according to when you need them. You can always choose your preferred delivery date at checkout.
If you do NOT wish to receive your frozen goods thawed, you can purchase frozen shipping here. Please note that we only guarantee that your goods remain frozen for up to 12 hours after delivery to the parcel shop. Therefore, make sure to collect your package promptly.
