The company is named after the great-grandfather Ati Manel, who devoted his life to his canning business. The Portuguese canning industry was hit hard during the First World War, but was revived during the Second World War, when demand rose significantly.
When the estate was settled after his death, recipes, notes, printing plates and marketing materials were found, documenting an entire era. This became the foundation for a redesign that still carries the spirit and visual expression of that time.
Today, Ati Manel carries on the legacy through preserves that combine history, craftsmanship and authentic flavour.
