About the book

Eataly: Contemporary Italian Cooking is a modern interpretation of Italian cuisine – developed in collaboration with Eataly, the world’s largest and most renowned Italian food universe. With 300 recipes, the book brings together the essence of today’s Italian cooking: simple, fresh, flavorful, and based on genuine ingredients.
This beautifully designed cookbook serves both as a source of inspiration and a practical reference for anyone who wants to understand how Italians eat today. It combines traditional techniques with contemporary ingredients and flavor balances that reflect a modern, healthier, and lighter Italian cuisine.
Contents and structure:
  • 300 thoroughly tested recipes from all over Italy
  • Focus on fresh ingredients, seasonality, and natural flavor
  • Classics such as pasta, risotto, antipasti, and pizza – updated with a modern twist
  • A 40-page illustrated encyclopedia of Italian ingredients, produce, and tools
  • Practical tips for preparation, serving, and composing meals
Eataly highlights a contemporary approach to Italian food culture, where quality and simplicity are the focus. There are no heavy sauces or overstuffed dishes here – but light, balanced flavors, with the ingredient at the center.
As Times Literary Supplement writes:
  • “Not merely another handsome book about Italian cookery … Eataly is a bible, a guide for modern life.”
With clear instructions and beautiful images, Eataly: Contemporary Italian Cooking is an indispensable tool for both professional chefs and enthusiasts who want to make authentic modern Italian food at home.
