Hering Berlin
Hering Berlin is a German design company known for luxury porcelain and glass, developed with a focus on functionality, craftsmanship and timeless design.
Stefanie Hering, a trained ceramist and award-winning designer, founded the company in 1992 after education and hands-on experience in Ireland, Denmark and Germany. Her approach is rooted in a deep respect for traditional techniques combined with modern design. Since its founding, Hering Berlin has grown into an international reference within exclusive tableware, glass, lighting and interior.
Production takes place in Europe in collaboration with selected workshops: the Reichenbach porcelain factory (Germany), the Květná 1794 glassworks (Czech Republic), the PRÖDL carpentry workshop (Austria) and the Steng-lv lighting factory (Germany). All collections are handmade with high precision and uncompromising material standards.
Iconic collections
Domain Flow (glass) – Organic shapes created through hand pressing and mouth-blowing in wooden moulds for a dynamic interplay of light and structure.
Velvet – Bisque, unglazed porcelain with a matte, velvety surface. Each piece is hand-polished with a diamond sponge for added durability and a sculptural finish.
Pulse – A modern interpretation of classic porcelain graphics, where shellac is applied by hand, then the pattern is washed out and subsequently polished after firing at up to 1400°C.
Cielo – Each hole is manually drilled in leather-hard porcelain and individually refined for maximum precision and a distinctive play of light.

Collaboration with restaurants
Hering Berlin has had a significant influence on modern gastronomy. From 2005, the collections were adopted by chefs such as Johannes King, Heston Blumenthal and Thomas Keller, leading to international expansion. Today, the tableware is used in more than 50 countries.
