Jabasco is a contraction of the words jabara and tabasco and already signals with its red color a lively and striking expression. The taste is fresh, peppery, and lightly spicy without being overpowering. The Japanese citrus fruit jabara, which resembles yuzu, gives the sauce a clear lime-like freshness with a lightly peppery finish.
The balance is achieved through the use of rice vinegar and a discreet amount of sugar, which rounds off the acidity and creates a harmonious whole. The result is a sauce with a distinct character, yet still with finesse and control.
Jabasco is produced by Kumano Kodo in Wakayama south of Osaka. The region is mountainous and shaped by centuries of volcanic activity and is considered Japan’s spiritual heart. The local focus on ingredients and origin is clearly reflected in the sauce’s depth and intensity.
The sauce is bottled in a glass bottle and is suitable for continuous use throughout an entire season.

If the package is collected later than 12 hours after arrival, the right to make a complaint is void.

Shipping of frozen goods to private customers:

All frozen goods shipped to private customers are sent to thaw in the insulated box. Please order your items according to when you need them. You can always choose your preferred delivery date at checkout.

If you do NOT wish to receive your frozen goods thawed, you can purchase frozen shipping here. Please note that we only guarantee that your goods remain frozen for up to 12 hours after delivery to the parcel shop. Therefore, make sure to collect your package promptly.
