Kinome leaves are the very fresh leaves from the sansho tree.
They measure 12 to 15 centimeters in length and consist of round to oval-shaped leaves. The leaves are smooth and waxy with a dark green color and a slightly serrated edge.
Kinome leaves have a bright, citrusy aroma and an intense flavor with notes of yuzu, grapefruit, and mint, followed by a mild numbing sensation that activates the salivary glands and creates a buzzing feeling on the palate.
The leaves can be used to garnish a plate, in a sauce, over a salad, in soups, curry dishes, miso, sushi, spring rolls, or mixed into sugar, salt, or oils.
Kinome leaves pair well with citrus fruits such as yuzu, sudachi, lemons, grapefruit, limes, and oranges.
The leaves generally keep for up to seven days when stored unwashed, dry, and in a container in the refrigerator.

Delivery of chilled goods:

If the package is collected later than 12 hours after arrival, the right to make a complaint is void.
Shipping of frozen goods to private customers:
All frozen goods shipped to private customers are sent to thaw in the insulated box. Please order your items according to when you need them. You can always choose your preferred delivery date at checkout.
If you do NOT wish to receive your frozen goods thawed, you can purchase frozen shipping here. Please note that we only guarantee that your goods remain frozen for up to 12 hours after delivery to the parcel shop. Therefore, make sure to collect your package promptly.
