Ati Manel – art and preserves in perfect symbiosis
Ati Manel is more than fish preserves – it is a story of craftsmanship, heritage and love for both flavour and aesthetics. The foundation was laid by the great-grandfather – Ati Manel, a pioneer in Portugal’s preserves industry, who ran his factory with uncompromising dedication.
During World War I and II, the tins were sent to friends abroad and received like gold – and that is still exactly how they taste.

Design heritage and culinary authenticity
After the great-grandfather’s death, labels, colour samples and recipe notes were found in the basement – and from this, the modern version of Ati Manel grew. With great respect for the graphic heritage, the packaging was recreated, and the original recipes were brought back.
Everything is handled with care and locally:
– The fish are selected at auction
– Production takes place in Portugal
– The olive oil is extra virgin
– Sardines and squid are hand-packed
– The recipes are historical and unchanged
