About the house:
The Champagne house André Robert is first and foremost a family business. The Robert family has worked in the vineyards in Champagne for several generations.

Henri Robert (1881-1948) began working in the vineyards “en foule” (as a group) after the First World War. In the 1930s, he created the first association of winegrowers to pool resources for pressing and winemaking.
Immediately after the Second World War, André Robert, born in 1925, worked in the vineyards. In 1960, he bought the house, which has wonderful 19th-century chalk cellars where the bottles still rest. He began marketing his Champagne in 1962.
Bertrand Robert took over the reins of the estate in 1981, accompanied by his wife Colette, who joined the house in 1990.
In 2013, Claire Robert, daughter of Bertrand and Colette, also joined the company. Bertrand gradually handed over the management of the estate to Claire. In 2016, Claire’s husband, Jean-Baptiste Denizart, also became part of the estate, and since 2019 they have both run André Robert together.
The vineyard covers 14 hectares, most of which is classified as Grand Cru and Premier Cru.

Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier are grown. But Chardonnay is the heart and soul of André Robert and always makes up the largest share of all blends. Chardonnay is a fragile and delicate vine variety that contributes floral, citrus and mineral nuances to the wines, resulting in elegant and bold wines.
