Blackcurrant purée – intensity and depth from France

Andros Chef blackcurrant purée is made from a blend of three blackcurrant varieties from France, including the renowned “Noir de Bourgogne”. This combination creates a purée with a deep, intense flavour, where both the fruit’s sweetness and characteristic tangy acidity come through clearly.
The flavour profile is complex with a pronounced yet balanced astringency and a long finish, making the purée suitable for both desserts and savoury dishes where you want to add depth.
Some of the berries come from Andros’ contracted growers, ensuring both traceability and high raw material quality. The purée is delivered frozen in 1 kg tubs, making it practical for professional kitchens.

Information about delivery of frozen fruit products

Frozen fruit products such as purées, juices and berries may be slightly thawed upon receipt. This is because the natural sugar component in the fruit thaws faster than the water-rich component during transport.
The products are transported in insulated packaging, and the temperature does not exceed 5 °C. Therefore, the goods can be refrozen without problems, as they are still kept at food-safe temperature throughout transport.
Slight thawing of fruit-based products is therefore normal and does not affect the product’s quality or safety.

Andros Chef purées are made from 100% pure ingredients without emulsifiers or additives. Only sugar has been added to this variant.
As the product is natural and without stabilisers, the purée may separate upon thawing into a watery part and a fruit part. This is normal and easily recombined with a blender or hand blender.

The purées are not finished products, but pure base ingredients developed for professional use, where chefs and pastry chefs adjust flavour and consistency as needed.

If you place your order before 12:00 noon, Monday–Thursday, we will dispatch your order the same day.

  • You can expect a delivery time of 1–2 days.

Delivery of chilled goods:

All chilled goods are shipped securely in insulated boxes with plenty of ice packs, so your package stays cold during transport. We guarantee that the package remains cold for up to 12 hours after arrival at the selected parcel shop. Please make sure to collect your package promptly. If the package is collected later than 12 hours after arrival, the right to make a complaint is void.

Shipping of frozen goods to private customers:

All frozen goods shipped to private customers are sent to thaw in the insulated box. Please order your items according to when you need them. You can always choose your preferred delivery date at checkout.

If you do NOT wish to receive your frozen goods thawed, you can purchase frozen shipping here. Please note that we only guarantee that your goods remain frozen for up to 12 hours after delivery to the parcel shop. Therefore, make sure to collect your package promptly.
