André Robert – Les Vignes de Montigny

54,16

Sold out

Les Vignes de Montigny is a Blanc de Noirs from André Robert, made from 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Pinot Meunier from Montigny-sous-Châtillon in Champagne.

The grapes come from the parcels Les Grillons and Les Vignes de la Haie Benoit, located on south-facing slopes with sand, marl, clay, and limestone in the soil. The Pinot Noir vines are about 15 years old, while the Pinot Meunier vines are about 50 years old.
The wine is based on the 2020 harvest. 65% is fermented in 228-liter oak barrels, while 35% is fermented in tank on fine lees. Bottling took place in July 2021, and the dosage is 2.5 g/L.
Tasting profile
Les Vignes de Montigny has a full-bodied and fruit-driven profile with flavors of ripe plum, black cherries, and delicate notes of violet. Pinot Noir contributes structure and dark fruit, while Pinot Meunier provides roundness and a juicier character.
The low dosage keeps the expression dry and precise, while the barrel fermentation adds depth and a longer finish.
